Past Student Video Evaluation
I found this particular prelimination very confusing, the plot wasn't clear enough for the audience to understand what was actually going on. The very first shot of the security camera was distinctive and I liked the approach the group took to this, it worked well because it showed how the angle of the camera was unable to catch the 'villain' based character walking through the doors which would be mean he is unseen in this instance. The character then through open the order in an attempt to show to the audience his emotions at this current time, which can be perceived as anger. The quick switch from outside to inside portrayed the hurry that this person was in to reach his location. The location that they had chosen for the torture scene was too light, as they typically take place in dark places the emphasise the importance of the character who is being tormented. The editing was quite poor in relation to the dialogue between the two initiating characters, it was muffled and the change from angles made it seem robotic.
